Today is the day. A few months back, I read about a blog which detailed a lady's life where she did something that she had never done, everyday for an entire year. This seemed very interesting and at the same time a challenge. Could I really come up with something I have never done each day?
So I started to think about all the things that I have done in my life. I have ghost hunted, gone on a cruise and went to a few different countries, hosted a TV show and a radio show, and made a movie in 48 hours. So What can I do?
1. Act in a play.
Tonight, I performed in the Night of the Living Dead Play, which was put on by Stage One. I have been training for this night for the past month and a half. Stage One created a training session called Zombie University. Zombie U taught adults and kids about acting, character development, set design, makeup and direction. The past week we had Tech Rehearsal which lasted for 5 hours each day, Monday thru Thursday.
I will be performing the play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Everyday, caked in makeup, I went through my scenes. The night was chilling cold, but this was after all the zombies were stuffed in the greenroom. The windows in the greenroom were visible outside, so it looked like a big zombie zoo. We had different types of zombies, dead paperboys, a wedding party, a group of nuns and a priest and few food workers ( I myself was a zombie chef).
I hit my marks and even tore down part of the set in the fight sequence with the characters of Ben and Helen. I had a blast.
